Local Broadcasts:

Synopsis:
A Talk Show about the GLBTA Community
KinPride is a 30-minute Talk-Show about the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, or GLBTA Community. It broadcasts in 9 markets throughout Minnesota. Check the web site at www.kinpride.com for complete schedule and list of GLBTA organizations. Questions or topic suggestions can be sent to , or faxed to (320) 251-2209.
Michael John Smith identifies as a Gay man and is the host of KinPride. Guests represent various GLBTA organizations and talk about what they offer, or are people in the GLBTA communities who want to share their stories. Together these resources may help others deal with certain issues, or learn more about themselves, family members, and friends.
Two important elements of KinPride are the visual perspectives given to the GLBTA communities; and dialogue created through telling the real stories of our lives. These elements may help dispel the myths and lies that have been, and continue to be, perpetuated about us. After seeing our faces, hearing our voices and stories society at large will come to realize that we deserve to be treated with dignity and respect that all human beings deserve.
This is what KinPride is about!
