Welcome to St. Cloud Out!

St Cloud OUT exists to serve the needs of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Allied (GLBTA) community in the tri-county St. Cloud area, and to provide solidarity and support to area GLBTA organizations;

• by fostering communication among the various groups
• by supporting established groups and new initiatives undertaken by the GLBT community and its allies
• by representing the GLBT community to the general public

In order to carry out this mission, St Cloud OUT will seek to:

1.  Coordinate information among GLBT and allied groups through one or more of the following means:

a.  Creating and maintaining a website;
b.  Publishing a newsletter;
c.  Developing a community resources directory;
d.  Developing a listserv for communication purposes.

2.  Increase visibility and understanding of GLBT and allied organizations by one or more of the following means:

a.  Developing and providing educational resources;
b.  Creating opportunities for education and training of members of the GLBT community;
c.  Creating opportunities for education and training of members of the greater community;
d.  Fostering relationships with the various media agencies.

3.  Promote activities that will create a sense of community among various GLBT organizations by one or more of the following means:

a.  Becoming a resource organization for grant-writing activities;
b.  Creating liaisons with political and community organizations which support GLBT activities;
c.  Assisting in recruitment and coordination of volunteers for activities supporting GLBT and Alliance issues.
d.  Planning events or conferences which will bring the various GLBTA organizations together.
