Funding/Grants/Fundraising Committee Report:

Film Fest Committee Report:

  1. The committee has received a selection of movies from TLA. Women Make Movies and Strand Releasing have also been contacted. We should be getting some short movies and some longer ones.
  2. There are lots of good lesbian movies out there this year. We are having a harder time finding gay movies than we have in the past.
  3. Tickets will cost the same as last year -- $5 for Friday only, $10 for Saturday only and $12 for both nights. We want to be cheaper than the movie theatre. Motion to maintain prices made by Brandi and seconded by Thomas. Passed by all
  4. Pioneer Place is booked but we have not made a rental agreement with them yet.
  5. Advertisers are needed for the program. Financial advisor Toy Ward and artist LoraBeth Brdlk have already said they want to buy an ad. Think about who will be in charge of ads and other contacts who may want to buy them.
  6. There is a form on the website for advertisers
  7. Entertainment: Leesa was great last year, but need to brainstorm more
  8. Speakers: will be determined by what the films are. Everyone agreed that we should invite Mayor Dave Kleis again.
  9. Budget: Also depends on the movies. We would love to have donations to cover specific things like the ASL interpreters which costs $500-600
