St. Cloud Out - Meeting Minutes

May 11, 2006

Present: Gabi, Brandi, Jerry, Joel, Joe, Ozzie, Stephen, Gary S., Timothy

Secretary's Report:

  1. Last month's minutes read by Gabi. Motion to accept made by Ozzie, second by Gary and approved by all.

Treasurer's Report:

  1. Since it was our annual meeting, in addition to our account balances Brandi made handouts with income and expenses from May 2005 through May 2006, spending by category, and cash flow for the film festival. It was a good breakdown and a guide for the future.
  2. The film festival expenses were as low as possible this year because we asked for deals because we did not receive grants. We cannot count on it being so low every year. Three to five thousand should be a safe bet for future film fest planning. This year’s profits are earmarked for next year’s film fest. Next year we have tentatively planned the film fest for March 16 and 17 at the Pioneer Place again.
  3. There is not much left in the Outfront account. Brandi will check if they can remain our fiscal host if we have a zero balance.
  4. Our account balances are $367.28 in the Outfront account and $3917.19 in the St. Cloud OUT account for a grand total of $4284.47.

Funding/Grants/Fundraising Committee Report:

  1. Central Minnesota Community Foundation may be a source of funding for us.

  3. Other needs: reuse the canopy from GAB, Jerry can make paper weights again, display board from Timothy, and Dan has lots of stuff from last year.
  4. Don’t forget to bring bottled water!!

Resource Committee Report:

  1. Jerry will send a reminder for updates to the directory.
  2. Renewal of the web site – we can do up to three years at a time. If we do three years we don’t have to worry about it again for a long time. Some worried about spending so much during a volatile year. Motion for a two year renewal made by Stephen, seconded by Ozzie and approved by all.
